Christmas - A time of Joy!

As soon as we mention the word Christmas all that comes to our mind is the "CELEBRATION" that is associated with it - the celebrations start almost a month in advance along with the preparations that go with it. Jingle bells and Silent Nights that jingle in the air, cheerfully decorated Christmas trees and cribs and decorations and illuminated stars and gifts and Christmas cards and turkey feast are powerful enough to haul all of us alike into the sweet Christmas mood.

Christmas - A time of Giving

Clearly, Christmas is all about giving and sharing. Please use our site to get helpful ideas on finding the perfect gift. We have tried to give as many tips as possible to help you find the right gifts for those on your Christmas gift list.

Christmas celebrations crown all the other celebrations of the year - as a feast that is celebrated worldwide it has various customs and practices tied with it and each of them have their own cultural and symbolic significance.

One of the most common Christmas feature is the Christmas Tree. It is believed that Christmas tree was first used in Germany - this again is associated with ancient cultural practices that used olive branches to symbolize victory. Traditionally Christmas trees came into display only on the 24 th of December and it was removed on the 6 th of January. But in modern practice we can see Christmas trees popping out as early as the beginning of November - so much so that it is now referred as Holiday Tree in the United States , Canada and the United Kingdom as it reminds us of the holiday season. Where ever the tradition might have originated, whatever the term that is used - the very sight of Christmas trees triggers vibes of celebration in all.

Christmas cards!!! Well these little messages of love are yet another ingredient of Christmas. Christmas is a time to remember all the loved ones nearer and far. Christmas cards bring sweet memory of your hometown, pleasant memories of your childhood and certain amount of closeness between those who exchange Christmas cards.

Christmas delicacies include Turkey and freshly baked cakes.

Merry Christmas!!!
